 In General News

It is seven weeks before the Africa Petroleum Equipment Convention (AfriPet) 2018 takes place in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event scheduled for July 9th – 11th will bring together petroleum and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) products and equipment players for a global exhibition and conference of their products and solutions to their customers in the Eastern Africa region.

Afripet 2018 is sponsored by Gilbarco AFS, the global leader in innovative fuel and fleet management solutions across the fleet, retail, commercial and industrial industries and is organized by Alison & Davis Group (ADG).

According to Mr. Kimemia Mugo, the General Manager, ADG, the event is a platform for potential buyers of petroleum equipment and solutions to meet and interact with manufacturers and providers from all over the world in the backdrop of growing interest in Sub-Saharan Africa.

“We are delighted to have Gilbarco AFS as Afripet’s Gold sponsor. We also appreciate the key role of PIEA (Petroleum Institute of East Africa), the Kenya government, Unicorn Sales and Services and Shankan Enterprises in ensuring that we reach out to as many industry players as possible,” Mr Mugo says.

According to market information from PIEA, demand for petroleum products in East Africa has risen steadily across the region in the last 10 years. For example in 2017, demand for petroleum products grew at 3% in Kenya, which is the region’s economic hub.

Ms. Wanjiku Manyara, the General Manager PIEA says the region’s economic growth is expected to remain robust. This means growth in investments in the petroleum as well as other sectors. She cites the on-going pipelines, depots, terminals and LPG cylinders plants developments as a clear indicator of better days ahead.

“AfriPet could not have happened at a better time. We look forward to see what technologies and solutions the industry’s suppliers will be showcasing. The region is ready to host the world and the choice of Nairobi is excellent!” Ms Manyara adds.

A few exhibition slots are remaining. Over 200 delegates have confirmed participation in the conference. To book an exhibition or delegate slot, Call +254202320083 or +254723242440. Email: info@adgafrica.com
